Presenter - Carol Farman
1. What time is your timeslot and what does your session consist of? (segments, types of music, serials etc)
Wednesday 2 to 5 pm
My program covers anything from Early Jazz of the 30s, the Great American Songbook, 50s pop and a touch of American Country, through to 60s Modern Jazz.
At 2.30 I showcase a featured artist and in the 3 pm time slot, Bing Crosby has been a traditional favourite.
After the 4 pm News,Weather & Sport – My Pick of the Week track. Something that grabbed my attention as I researched my program during the week.
2. How did you first connect with GDR?
My mother was a devoted listener to Golden Days Radio from the early Caulfield Race Course days. Her radio was tuned permanently to 95.7FM.
3. Why did you want to be a presenter?
After 18 years presenting with Vision Australia (3RPH), it seemed a natural stepping stone to join the GDR family to present music, which is my passion.
4. What experience do you want to give your listeners?
I’m sure that our listeners also share my passion and that of my co-presenters, with the music we bring to their lives each day.
