Presenter - Michael Lynch
1. What time is your time slot and what does your session consist of?
‘Saturday Matinee’ – Saturdays 2pm until 5pm
In addition to playing yesterday’s music today, I feature music and news from stage, screen and television.
2. How did you first connect with GDR?
After hearing me deliver a funeral eulogy, a mourner suggested I offer my services to GDR.
3. Why did you want to be a presenter?
I became a radio announcer in my 20th year and for the next three decades I worked as a broadcaster and news journalist in New Zealand and Australia. Since 1997 I have been working in other areas, but once a broadcaster, always a broadcaster, and so when the opportunity to join the presenting team at Golden Days arose, I jumped at it.
4. What experience do you want to give your listeners?
I see myself as a guest in any of my listeners’ homes, simply chatting to them and playing music I hope they will relate to as much as I do.
