  1. What time is your time slot and what does your session consist of?

I host the Tuesday Drive program from 4-7pm.

It’s a busy time of day for most people, so there’s news on the hour, along with traffic information and a mix of the GDR music people have grown to love. The music is mainly from the 50s, 60s and 70s with some newer artists, along with GDR Classic Memories from the 30s and 40s.

  1. How did you first connect with GDR?

I was looking to get involved in my local community as a volunteer and I have always thought GDR is a great way to inform and entertain people. Radio is a wonderful medium and a huge part of my life.

  1. Why did you want to be a presenter?

I started my career in radio in the late 70s and music has been such a large part of my life ever since. To be able to play great music and talk to the audience is a rewarding experience and one I wanted to continue.

  1. What experience do you want to give your listeners?

To play music that people have grown up with and to give some background on the artists, singers and musicians that they might not know about. There are so many intriguing stories behind the music; often songs came about by mere chance and went on to become classic tracks.
