Presenter - Tony Bennett
1. What time is your time slot and what does your session consist of?
Tuesday morning Breakfast Program between 7am and 11am
The corner stone to the success of the program is the great variety of music and entertainment we provide our listeners. Musically you will hear a marvellous selection of music…including all your vintage, sentimental, and nostalgic, Golden Days Radio classics, mixed together with songs from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s.
The morning is also punctuated with short comedy segues to add humour to the busy schedule. The Breakfast Programme also includes archetypal serials such as The Castlereagh Line and a musical kaleidoscope of great artists in “Music we Grew Up With” produced by David Pollock, plus movie reviews with “Madeline at the Movies”
2. How did you first connect with GDR?
A Golden Days Committee member who I got to know quite well asked me one day if I had worked in radio before, when I explained that I had worked at the ABC and 3AK in my 20s he said if I was interested he would arrange an interview for me at Golden Days Radio, and offcourse the rest is history, which I am eternally grateful for.
3. Why did you want to be a presenter?
I wanted give something back to the community and hopefully provide entertain all our Tuesday morning listeners.
4. What experience do you want to give your listeners?
I would like to think we provide a bright and fun start to the day, to all Golden Days listeners.
