Program - Thursday Afternoon with John Hoey

My program is a kind of musical magazine covering many different types of music, some of which may provide new experiences for the listener, but none of which (I try to ensure) will be unpleasant for the listener.  It covers music from the 1930s to the 1980s, although I like to inject some bright music from as far back as Elizabethan times (ie 16th Century) occasionally . At 3pm I present a scripted half hour title ‘Cool,Calm, and Composed’ outlining the life and playing the work of a composer and/or lyricist who wrote familiar songs. Following the News, and ‘What’s in a Name’ at approximateley 4.10 we have half an hour of music from the ‘50s ‘60s and ‘70s  in Roundabout ‘60s.
