1. What does your session consist of? (segments, types of music, serials etc)

Wednesday Drive has a range of music, from stage and film musicals to well known and not so well known crooners . The News and Weather is broadcast at 6pm.

2. How did you first connect with GDR?

I discovered Golden Days Radio on the recommendation of a friend and became “hooked” on the station.  My radio at home and in the car is always tuned to Golden Days. I also enjoy being part of a very dedicated and loyal group of volunteers

3. Why did you want to be a presenter?

I started in February 2015 as a receptionist on alternate Sunday breakfast shifts which I still do and enjoy very much. It seemed to be a natural progression to apply to go on air. After my initial training I found myself doing the afternoon shift on Mondays for 4 months and have now moved to the Wednesday Drive shift, which suits me better.

4. What experience do you want to give your listeners?

My love of music ranges from Broadway and West End musicals to the crooners like Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble. It also includes Jazz standards, as well as some world music from lesser known performers – but nevertheless very relaxing and entertaining. I also enjoy what I refer to as “personalities and one offs”  – performers like Jimmy Durante, Eartha Kitt, Noel Coward  and so on. Hopefully my audience will join with me for the ride and enjoy & appreciate some of these performers as much as I do.
