1. What days and times are you usually scheduled to be on duty?
Tuesdays 7-00 am to 11-00 am.
2. How did you first connect with GDR?
We were “ Magic Tragics “and when they changed their format and sacked all of the presenters , and having read the late Bob Horsfall’s articles in the Seniors Magazine , my wife surfed the airwaves and found 95.7 FM.
After the installation of a special aerial and the purchase of 2 new radios ( at some significant expense !!!! ) we became Golden Days listeners and subsequently members.
3. Why did you want to be a Receptionist/Program Assistant?
I was reorganising my volunteer activities and decided to offer my services to
GDR because it was a community station run entirely by volunteers.
4. What are the most important things that you believe you can do for listeners who call in, and for the Presenter you are supporting?
Listen and talk to the GDR members who make the effort to phone in.
Act as a sounding board for Tony Bennett.
