Great Australian radio serial. It chronicles the history of Rex Swindel-Hurst – from his time as a baby when he was cast adrift in the Tasman Sea in a rush basket, then rescued and brought up and educated (to a certain extent) by a group of Australian abalone poachers until, eventually, receiving the Nobel Prize or something – for something or other. A gripping yarn. There’s a five minute break each episode for a quick cup of cocoa and a short lie down.
