Jonathan Twigg Thursdays 3-6pm
Tell us about your program.
My program is a warm, open invitation to explore music from every era and every taste. From timeless classics to unexpected discoveries, each broadcast is shaped by curiosity and a genuine love of the songs that move us, no matter when or where they were made.
Alongside the music, listeners are invited to join in with games and brainteasers that keep the mind active and the conversation lively. The show also celebrates the places I’ve travelled and the experiences that have shaped my view of the world, weaving personal stories into the soundtrack of the day.
This is radio that feels like good company: easy-going, eclectic, and always ready to share a new tune, a quick challenge, or a glimpse of somewhere far away.
How did you first connect with Golden Days Radio?
My involvement with Golden Days Radio began in January 2026, and it already feels like home. From the first days I was welcomed into the community—riding and driving the OB van to promote the station, helping at the front desk, and meeting listeners and fellow volunteers at GDR functions. Those early experiences quickly showed me that this is a station built on friendship, shared purpose, and a real connection with its audience. It was an easy decision to become part of it.
Why did you want to become a radio presenter?
Radio has always felt like the most natural way to share curiosity, stories, and music with people. I wanted to become a presenter so I could create an easy-going space where listeners feel included—whether they’re discovering a new song, joining a light-hearted game, or simply enjoying the company of someone who loves exploring the world through music and conversation.
What experience do you want to give your listeners?
I want listeners to settle in and feel at ease. You’ll hear an eclectic mix of music from all eras and tastes, interspersed with opportunities to flex your brain and join the fun. Along the way I’ll share stories from the places I’ve travelled and the experiences that have stayed with me, always with the same open, curious spirit that guides the program.
My hope is that every broadcast leaves you entertained, a little more connected, and glad you tuned in—because good company, great music, and a touch of curiosity always make the day better.
