Presenter Profile – Gerry Watts
How did you first connect with GDR?
Believe it or not, I was head-hunted by the inimitable Robert Anderson. I’d been working at Vision Australia’s 3RPH at the time and he suggested I skip over to GDR for an audition. So here I am.
Why did you want to be a presenter?
I have been interested in radio for years. In my teen years I made my own little ‘bedroom studio’ and produced shows on my brother’s tape recorder. I also have a penchant for talking legs off tables.
What experience do you want to give your listeners?
Listeners, especially in the morning, need something to get them sparked into action.
The light bright music is the main thing and I hope I add a little extra zing to give them something to take for the rest of the day.
